Dr. Donald R. Gardner is the owner of Town & Country Veterinary Hospital and Pleasanton Pet Hotel. Dr. Gardner earned his undergraduate degree in Zoology/Biological Sciences from U.C. Berkeley, then completed his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Gardner has been serving the pets of Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley area for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoys Masters swimming, scuba diving, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and family. The Gardner family has too many pets to mention, but Noah's Arc pretty much sums up their lifestyle and home.
Dr. Coleen Dossey has been with Town & Country Veterinary Hospital since April 1995. She earned a Master of Science degree in Animal Physiology and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis. In addition to practicing traditional veterinary medicine, she has pursued advanced education in integrative medicine and is an I.V.A.S. Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. Dr. Dossey earned certification by the Chi Institute in Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2014, and is excited to offer both holistic treatment options for your pet, as well as traditional veterinary medicine. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, watching her sons play lacrosse, gardening, quilting, and practicing yoga.
Dr. Lisa Mason has been with Town & Country since 2014. Dr. Mason earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, and graduated with honors from Michigan State University Veterinary School. Before relocating to the Tri-Valley area, Dr. Mason worked at a large multi-doctor veterinary hospital in Southern California for 16 years. Dr. Mason shares her home with Emma, a Thoroughbred, Spike, a Tennessee Walker, and Cassie (a.k.a. Cassidy Buttercup Dandelion), a rescued Golden Retriever mix. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, taking her children to and from their various sports and activities, and spending quality time with her husband, family and friends.
Cheree, our Practice Manager, has been with Town & Country since 1998. Cheree graduated from Las Positas College in 2007 with an Associate of Arts degree in Administration of Justice. She shares her home with her husband and their two kids: Miss Skye, a blue Pitbull, and Ronan, a red Doberman. In her spare time she enjoys playing mahjong, gardening, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
Stephanie is our hardworking Pet Hotel Manager, keeping the pets of the Pleasanton Pet Hotel happy, healthy, and well cared for since 2007. Stephanie shares her home with her dogs Blue, Syris, Maggie, Paco, and Foxy, her African Gray named Darby, Tweet the Wild Sparrow, her cat RC and her Arabian horse named Rocky. When she's not caring for precious pets of the Pleasanton Pet Hotel, she is spending time with friends and family, and enjoying horseback riding.
Lauren joined the Town & Country team in 2011. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been in the veterinary field for over a decade. Lauren shares her life with her Dachshund named Otis, her cat Cornelius, and a Quarter horse named Boone. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, spending time with friends and family, camping, snowboarding, and going to see Dave Matthews Band!
Jessica joined our team in 2014 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jessica lives on a ranch so it's safe to say that she has way too many animals. She enjoys riding horses, racing cars, and spending time with her husband and friends. Jessica was recently married at her ranch the day we received the typhoon rains.....it was an AMAZING day! Congratulations Mrs. Davilla!
Odessa (a.k.a) Odie, joined the Town & Country team in 2016. Odie is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been in the veterinary field since 2012. In her spare time she enjoys the great outdoors, camping, working out and spending quality time with her husband and their two high energy boys. Odie also shares her home with Buster, her handsome & stubborn English Bulldog.
Juliana joined the Town & Country team in 2016. Juliana is a Registered Veterinary Technician, and has been around large animals most of her life. Juliana shares her life with her Queensland mix named Bruno, her Quarterhorse, Sparta, and many, many cows. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Michael Ann joined the Town & Country team in 2015 as a Client Care Specialist. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, camping, and spending quality time with friends and family. Michael Ann shares her home with her Shepherd mix, Gibbs, and her Chihuahua mix, Tilly. She enjoys curling up with a good book, coloring, and Karaoke.
Melissa joined our Town & Country family in 2015. Melissa is the Lead Pet Hotel Technician at the Pleasanton Pet Hotel. Prior to Town & Country, Melissa had worked at Valley Humane Society, as well as in a variety of programs serving at-risk youth with mental health needs. Melissa is currently working on her Master of Public Health degree at San Jose State University. In her spare time she enjoys reading, coloring, hiking, and spending time with her cats.
Bridgette is a Client Care Specialist who joined the Town & Country team in 2016. She lives on a cattle ranch in Castro Valley with her husband, her 2 Dachshunds, 2 cats, 5 horses and 1 goat. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse, Lucy, taking photographs of the livestock on the ranch, and spending time with friends and family.
Danielle became part of our Town & Country family in 2017 as a Client Care Specialist. Prior to Town & Country, Danielle worked at a veterinary hospital in Fremont for over 4 years. She shares her home with her dog, Riley, and cat, MJ. In her spare time she spends time with her husband and their two boys. They enjoy fishing, camping, and music.....pretty much anything in the great outdoors. Danielle's long term goal is to become a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician.
Linda has been loving and caring for the Pleasanton Pet Hotel cats since 2007. Her home is filled with her three cats Kink, Katie and Simba. In her spare time she sews blankets for the Pleasanton Pet Hotel cats and dogs, and enjoys spending time with her family, walking, and going on cruises. Clients always ask us if their cats ever get out of their hotel suites, and do they get hugs and kisses. Of course...have you met Linda? I'm sure if your cat has stayed in our beautiful cattery they have felt the warmth of Linda's tender loving care.
Krista is a Pet Hotel Technician who joined the Town & Country team in 2014. Krista is currently going to Las Positas College to pursue a career in bioengineering. Her dream job would be to work for East Bay Regional. Krista shares her home with her two dogs, a female Beagle named Scout, and Zoey her Viszla. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her boyfriend. Krista is a great addition to our Pet Hotel team and we're very happy to have her!
Kellie joined the Town & Country team in 2016 as a Pet Hotel Technician. Kellie is currently enrolled at Las Positas College and pursuing a degree in Wildlife Biology. Her dream job would be to work in the field and tracking species in their natural habitat. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, visiting new places, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Rachel is a Pet Hotel Technician who has worked at Town & Country since in 2014. Rachel loves going hiking, and hanging out with her two Maltese dogs, Holly and Macy, and her bearded dragon. She currently attends Las Positas College and is pursuing her dream to open her own Pet Hotel.
Brooke is a Pet Hotel Technician who joined our team in 2017. She is currently going to school to learn how to be a dog groomer. In her spare time she enjoys being out in nature, hiking, and visiting local beaches.
