Veterinarian

Town & Country Veterinary Hospital and the Pleasanton Pet Hotel is a busy, small animal practice located in historic, downtown Pleasanton, CA. We currently have 2.5 FTE veterinarians and are seeking a part-time, experienced Veterinarian to join our progressive practice.

We are currently offering a one-two day work week (Wednesdays being the primary day); however, the potential exists for additional (1-2 additional) days in the future, as well as the opportunity for Medical Director position in 5-6 years.

What Makes Town & Country Unique?

Started in 1972, our practice has strong ties to the community and an excellent reputation for great customer service, under the guidance of our Medical Director and Associate Veterinarian for over 25 years. Our modern, well equipped hospital includes DR digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, ldexx ProCyte in-house laboratory equipment, a state-of-the-art ultrasonic scaling machine with LED tip, and a brand new surgical suite.  Our entire team utilizes the Cornerstone software program.

R.V.T.

We are looking for an experienced and licensed RVT/CVT veterinary technician, with the opportunity for growth. Salary depends on demonstrated skills and experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of small animal experience or 1 year of emergency experience. Must be proficient in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, induction and maintenance of anesthesia, radiology procedures, hospitalized patient care, have a positive can-do attitude, and excellent customer service skills.

Our trained team of technicians use state-of-the-art equipment such as: Idexx CR Digital Radiography, Idexx Catalyst DX, Idexx LaserCyt, Idexx VetStat, Corix Plus Digital Radiography, Companion Therapy laser, Luxar Surgical laser, and a brand new Midmark Vet Pro 1000 Ultrasonic scaling machine.

Pet Hotel Technician

This is a fun yet professional position that is primarily outdoors.  The Pet Hotel Technician position requires a lot of walking/exercising pets, cleaning/disinfecting animal living areas, feeding/watering pets, administering medications, bathing/brushing, playing with and entertaining boarding pets.  We are looking for an individual who has strong teamwork skills, great attention to detail, is extremely motivated, dedicated to the caring for our boarding pets, and LOVES to be around dogs and cats.

Requirements: Must be able to apply knowledge and skills in controlling/handling individual animal temperaments. The ideal candidate will have the ability to gain animal confidence when restraining them for transport, bathing, and/or treatment. The Pet Hotel Technician is often required to lift and carry materials weighing fifty pounds or more. The position requires that employees walk or stand for long periods of time. The shifts are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m....must be able to work holidays and weekends when scheduled.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience in 4-H, FFA, pet store, veterinary, grooming, or other kennel/pet hotel environment(s), however, WE WILL TRAIN the RIGHT person. If you love animals and taking care of them, then this is a PERFECT job for you!
